Gap in AutoArchive items

I have auto archive set to archive after six months. However, I have a gap
in my e-mails between 7/07 and 10/18/04. Those items from 2004 and earlier
never go away. What should I do?

Add the Modified date to the header line and see if that value for the items
that don't archive is more recent than the archive setting.
