When viewing pictures using Iranview, I have to increase the gamma. My
son says this should not be necessary, but I should change some
parameters of my screen setting. What parameters are they?

The changes to gamma will be a combination of contrast vs.
brightness on the monitor setting. However, a gamma value
is not a "standard" constant and it is normal for variation.
This variation would occur not only in the programming for
any single application but also how the photographer might
have exposed the picture, i.e., the creative license. YMMV.
Make any changes that suits you for any particular moment in
time.

Usually they are in your video card adjustment screens.
