Hi,

I have a game, which only works if the computer has a dedicated and
valid ip address from the internet. With a router, which has a DMZ
everything works fine.

Now I have another pc in the lan. From this one I can't play, because
you can only use one DMZ of course.

However, I have a dedicated server in the internet, which has its own
IP. I was wondering, wether I could configure my PC in such a way that
it could use the IP of the dedicated server.

Maybe with a VPN or some other tunneling method? Has anybody ever done
something like this?

Hi fritz-bayer,

You'll need to open the ports for your 2nd computer computer
through the router, and have it assign internal (192.x. or 10.x.)
IP addresses to both computers. This will have a better chance
of success than trying to use a VPN solution.

Once you have the IP's assigned use dxport (www.puffinsoft.com)
to assign each computer their own DirectX ports. Look through
their forums (http://www.puffinsoft.com/forum) too and you'll find
a lot of other people sharing solutions to you exact type of issue. :-)
