Gamesville & other on-line games won't load

I can't get on-line games like Gamesville or Yahoo to load. The screen says it loading but nothing ever comes up
Is this an XP problem or IE 6 problem?
Is there a fix?

You may need to check in Games Help on their web site, Eric, for Gamesville.
Most gaming sites like that require java or Microsoft Virtual Machine.
