games without cd-rom!

Please can you tell me how to make the games work without using the cd-rom. Do you have to save the game in a special memory space? Please help!
 
game drive is a program that allows you to copy your games from your cd to your hard drive. you then no longer need your cd to play your games and load times are also alot faster because it is loading from your hard drive and your hard drive runs at a faster speed than your cdrom.
 
There's plenty of "virtual cd drives" do that, Virtual CD, Nero's
ImageDrive, Alcohol's virtual DVD, Daemon tools.

In fact, even MS has a small program for XP that adds the ability to mount
ISO images to a virtual cd drive.

If the game's "copy protected" so it demands the original cd in the drive,
there's usually a little more involved :)
