I just installed Need For Speed Underground 2 on my computer (I just redid the computer and everything is working perfectly) and every few seconds it lags up the game and it becomes very irritating... Is there a solution to this problem?

I'll actually try to ANSWER YOUR QUESTION

Lagging is predominantly caused by lack of RAM. Full stop. If everything is running really smooth for 10-20 seconds but then there is a big splutter this is undoubtebly the problem - although if its a result of shoddy programming a patch might fix that, too.

Basically, to play the latest games confidently in high texture resolutions you either need-

A) 512mb of system RAM, and a new-ish 256mb graphics card.
or
B) 768mb of system RAM, a new-ish 128mb graphics card PLUS 256MB AGP APERTURE.

Try moving the texture mode down to medium or low, if that gets rid of the stuttering you need more RAM in one of the above options if you want that option turned up! Otherwise, it could be doing a Half-life2 on you, and you're gonna have to find a patch from somewhere....

Processor - Intel Pentium 4 Frequency - 2658 MHz
Graphic Card - ATI Mobility Radeon 7500

I can't find where it has the motherboard or RAM, but if Motherboard = Mainboard then...

Dell Physical Memory - 512 MB DDR-SDRAM Chipset - Intel i845PE

thats what i was after, looking at the game requirements you should be able to play it fine, try lowering the game detail settings and try again

How do I change it? Should it be in the game options? Just wanted to ask before I load the game again.

it should be under options and maybe a subsection of graphics or dsiplay

If you want to change the AGP aperture, you need to restart your PC and press either DEL or F11/F12 when it says so at the very beginning screen. You should be able to find the AGP aperture setting somewhere there, just look around for it. Usually it would be in the 2nd or 3rd menu down out of about 5 or 6, but you are using a DELL board so it will probably be aranged differently. Usually chain stores set AGP to 64mb - I reckon you should change it to 128mb. If it's already set there, you could try 256mb but that'll most probably suck up too much of your system RAM.
