We've just installed WinXP Pro. I've tried dl'ing several games from Yahoo. Everything seems to be going great then it will begin to load and when you press play, it will freeze the screen and then the whole system restarts. Games in yahoo that you just go into a room and play won't ever even come up on the screen. I just get a blank screen with a little red x in the corner. My husband informed me that we needed to install the drivers. So that's what I did. We have Radeon 7000 series, Wxp-w2k-catalyst-8-02-0405159-015958c along with the control panel. I'm not sure if that's even the correct thing we need or what. I'm completely in the dark. Somebody please help!

The latest generic drivers for your card can be found on this web page.
Note that I'm assuming you're using a desktop computer and not a laptop. If
it's a laptop you'll need to go to your vendor's homepage for drivers.

Another thing to consider updating is your audio card's drivers and your
motherboard's chipset drivers.

There's an application called "DXdiag" which is short for DirectX
Diagnostics. Could you run the application and attach it to this thread so
I can help get new drivers?

1.) Press the start button
2.) Select RUN
3.) In the edit box, type DXDIAG and click "OK"
4.) Click the "Save All Information" button.
5.) Select a location to save the text file to.
6.) Attach it to one of this thread. In Outlook Express, select Insert>File
Attachment.
