| No one is a complete moron, they just haven't had a chance to learn. A
| gameport is a 15 pin connector that is generally on sound cards. Some of the
| newer soundcards do not have them and almost all laptops I know of don't
| have them either. Since you seem to be interested in playing on your laptop
| I would suggest trying to return the gamepad you got at the place of
| purchase and exchange it for a gamepad that has a USB connector. Most
| laptops are going to have USB unless they are fairly old. I would make sure
| you have a USB connector and then do an exchange for a USB gamepad. The USB
| gamepads are more reliable any way and shouldn't cost too much.
