game wont load error message

when i try to load my game i get this message: WARNING: missing Glide installation, assuming no 3Dfx available
.....shutting down QGL
 
Hi Stuggs,

Try the DirectX version of Quake instead: http://dxquake.sourceforge.net/

thanks jimmy s. had a think and started the game in safe mode and made some adjustments and game plays fine now. cheers. struggs
