Game Crashes *update*

I've discovered more about what's causing them. I get this error in the
EventViewer:

Faulting application nwmain.exe, version 1.0.0.0, faulting module
nvoglnt.dll, version 6.14.10.6176, fault address 0x00121720.

and I've checked on the internet a bit and it looks like it's the Nvidia
OpenGL driver. Now, many people have said to update drivers and whatnot, and
I've tried the 61.77 drivers (latest), 61.76 drivers (latest WHQL certified)
and the 52.16 (stupid autoinstaller) drivers but none of them fix the
problem. I'd still get the nvoglnt.dll problems.

Could it just be a problem with Nvidia drivers? I doubt it. But then what
could be the problem? Any insight?

Yes that is NVidia's dll. Is nwmain.exe supposed to Never Winter Night's
executable? Based on the files involved it sounds like a problem with
Nvidia's driver (nvoglnt.dll) or nwmain.exe. It could be the .exe is doing
something wrong and the driver is just faulting on it which would be a
problem with the program executable.

In the case of a game I'd recommend rolling back to a previous patch for the
game if changing drivers doesn't help.

Hmm... well if it's happening with a lot of games then it's more likely to
be an issue with your drivers rather than the games themselves. I'd look
into changing display driver versions and updating the chipset drivers.
Outdated motherboard chipset drivers can cause instability too.

Ah, I remember I once attempted to locate drivers for my motherboard. It
didn't go very well, I think I finally got fed up and stopped looking. Just
like what I'm gonna do now.

The motherboard I have is an ASUS K7M, but when I looked on ASUS's page
before and just now, it says it's too busy to get to the page for it. I also
did a search, and I'm not the only one who's unable to find current (or even
near current) WinXP drivers for it. Please I know you're probably busy and
whatnot, but if you can find a driver that's current, and is for XP, I'd sure
be thankful.
