Not able to activate the Thrustmaster Game card with
Windows XP. The Control stick / throttle / rudder pedals
required a dedicated game card to work with Flight
Simulator 2002 when I ran everything under WIndows 98.
Now the Windows XP system will not use this earlier
gamecard. This game card uses the 15 pin plug (not a USB
plug). Help

Gameports can only use the built-in drivers in XP. No other drviers exist
and none will be created.

This isn't entirely true. Newer drivers for gameport Microsoft game devices
are not going to be written, but there are plenty of devices that are
gameport that the hardware vendor has written gameport drivers for. It all
depends on the device you have and how the vendor decided to have the device
communicate with the system. The Thrustmaster ACM Game card you mention is
an ISA card so it is going to have to be setup manually. It won't PnP for
you. As near as I can tell Thrustmaster didn't write a driver for this card
for Windows XP.
