Hello,

I'm using Outlook XP SP2 on a W2K Pro box with a Exchange
5.5 mailbox. Recently I had to delete a mailbox and re-
create a new one using the same email address and display
name associated to the same NT account. Afterwards, other
users were having problems sending to email to that
particular mailbox by simply typing in the display name of
the mailbox in the TO: field. I advised them to manually
choose the display name from the global address book one
time and Outlook should recognize the new mailbox/display
name and shouldn't be a problem anymore.

Is there another step I should be taking so Outlook can
recognize the new mailbox/display name other than what
I've done so far?

Thank you.

You can have the users delete the erroneous "autocomplete" entry from the list. Check out this Microsoft KB Q289975 . Or, if worse comes to worse you can have them delete the entire cache by deleting or renaming the entire cache file *.nk2. There is no "global" way to do this since these lists are stored locally.
