I have a HP G85 printer connected to my computer. I recently purchased
another computer for another room in my house. I have a cable modem on
my computer and I bought a Netgear router for my computer and an
Netgear adapter for the other computer so that we could get high speed
internet on the new computer as well.
Now, I would like to know if, and if so, how to hook the other computer
up so that it can also print to the G85 printer that is installed on my
computer.
If more info is needed, please let me know. Thanks.

You do not mention which operating system you are using, but for now I
will assume some form of Windows. You can enable file and printer
sharing, then share the G85 on the computer it is connected to. On the
other computer install a compatible driver (DeskJet 970, DeskJet 855 or
Officejet G85 depending on your operating system - see:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/...docname=c00302767&lc=en&jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN).
This will allow you to print from the remote computer.

Thanks so much Bob. I thought I would need additional hardware. That
was so easy, even I was able to do it! I have Windows XP. Once I
turned on print sharing, it walked me through the rest of it. You just
saved me several hundred dollars. I was about to give up and buy an
additional printer.
Thanks again for taking the time to help out.

I am glad things are working for you. It is nice to get positive
feedback when things work :-).
