g4l 0.1 - A hard disk and partition imaging tool.

About:
g4l is a hard disk and partition imaging tool similar to Norton Ghost. The
created images are optionally compressed and transferred to an FTP server.
The included kernel supports almost every common network interface. At the
moment, it supports only ATA and serial-ATA drives.

Unfortunately it doesn't say whether it backs up only used sectors.
Since it ignores the file system on the partition, I assume it
doesn't.

Which makes it hard to back up a large partition (even with
compression).

I'd say Partimage is still better. But any imager is better than none
if you need one - especially if you need one to backup a partition
with another OS's file system.
