Hi I got the Nvidia FX5900 Ultra 256MB card.
in display properties under adapter, xp pro says the card
only has 128mb ram, when I click on the 5900 Ultra tab, it
displays 256MB ram.
when I run dxdiag, it says the card has 128MB ram, Sisoft
Sandra says 128 as well.

My brother in law has the same card and his says 256MB ram
under adapter properties on his pc, I installed his card
in my pc and get the same result.

I have the latest drivers for every thing on my pc.

Funny thing is, I reinstalled XP on another drive and it
reported the card as 256MB, not 128, rebooted onto my
normal drive and it still says 128MB, obviously is a XP
thing but I dont know where to look for a registry edit to
correct the fault.

My concern is that XP may only be using 128 instear of 256
in which case I would be losing out on performance that
I'm entitled to.

Hi, I don't think XP is actually capable of reducing the amount of memory
the Video card has to offer......
