Fuzzy Preview

On some files, when I go to File | Open, the previews are clear. On
others, the previews are fuzzy. The problem previews have larger fonts
than the non-problem ones. It seemed that "Save Preview Picture" would
be the solution, but so far it is not. How can I get clear previews? The
fuzzy previews are somewhat worthless.

I found this article on the Microsoft web site and played with some
settings. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/823813 Unfortunately, the
increased resolution seriously bloats the file, much more so than does
saving the file with Outlook 2002 or before. Hopefully someone has a
reasonable workaround.

It would seem that the registry hack is causing the entire document to
save at higher resolution. There should be a way to save just the
preview. This problem is a serious limitation on the usability of the
document preview page.
