I see no one has checked out this link,
it's just a faq about Longhorn, Palladium
and the "Trusted Computing" concept
that I thought was worth passing on,
that has other links to more articles on
a topic I think everyone should be
informed about.

I read it and it was an interesting read thanks. I also passed it on to my
French speaking friend.
Don't assume nobody has read your post because there are no replies on it ;)
It may have gone over the heads of some people but the fact remains that
no matter what we do, the slimy ones at MicroSloth are going to push this
one on us whether we like it or not.

It is, and I had already (recently) seen this site. Treacherous Computing may
be another way to spell the end of freedom. Perhaps I won't be around anymore
when that happens.

Many here are already familiar with TCPA and the Fritz chip.
I doubt that I will be participating in trusted computing. There
is too much network dependency for me to think it very useful.
That network dependency is its achilles heel. Users of trusted
applications would be well advised to have backup applications
to use when the system falls on its face.

Good of you to pass the word of warning, I'm sure that some
were unaware of this.
