fuse blown

was on my other pc on sunday and i had the radio on in background,just poped to the toilet and i heard the radio go off for a quick second if that(thought we had a power cut)rong my mate up and he said it could be m.b or fuse,so checked the fuse tryed that and it came on for about an hour and done it again can anyone help

Sounds either like the PSU is damaged or blown, or something is damaged on the motherboard, can you test other parts in it to see if they work?

what you mean test other parts..?don,t know nothing about pc,s mate at all
 
Just checking, you mean your PC fuse blew and once you replaced it, it happened again an hour later?

If so, I'd replace the PSU as happening twice in a row seems to be too much of a co-incidence. Is it an off the shelf PC still in warranty?

yeah thats right,nah its an old pc but the psu was replaced about 3 months ago

Your PSU is most likely the cause?
 
What make is the PSU? Where did you get it replaced? Sometimes companies offer 3-6 months warranty on repairs.
 
If the psu is only three months old it should have a twelve month standard warranty.

hi guys i know its been a while since i posted this but found out we had a power cut in the area for about 3 days and been busy with stuff but thx for your advice anyway
