Word (2003) offers the ability to put phonetic guides (furigana) for East
Asian text, so that the pronunication of Japanese kanji (Chinese characters)
can be put above it in kana (Japanese syllabic scripts). This is achieved
from Asian Layout | Phonetic Guide on the format menu.

How does one achieve the same with Powerpoint 2003?

Thanks

Word, in any given version, has always been a step or three ahead of the other
Office apps in supporting East Asian languages. So far as I know, it's not
possible, at least not on an English language system where one's used Office
Language Tools to enable Japanese support.

The picture may be different on a Japanese language system.

However, it seems you can enter and format your text (including furigana/rubii)
in Word, copy it, then switch to PPT and choose Edit, Paste Special, as Word
Object and get the job done.

Can phonetic for powerpoint 2007 be used on powerpoint 2010?
