Funny sounds

My computer has started emitting strange sounds, like doors slamming, horns
blowing, chimes, etc. Does anyone know how to get this to stop making these
random sounds? Thanks.

It seems to me that the sounds you're describing are from an Instant
Messenger service. Look for AIM, ICQ, etc.

You've got some sort of instant messaging client running. Could be
AIM, MSN Messenger, Yahoo Messenger. You'll have to see what's running
on your computer.

ive not come across this before but you could try system restore to a date
before it started if your running xp.You can access sys restore in control
panel by clicking Performance and meantainance then look to the top of box to
left for sys restore
failing this it sounds like you have mabe downloaded a program recently that
has added these gimmicks try checking ya add and remove programs in control
panel.
