Our church maintains a membership data base on Access
2000. I replicate this program on my home computer. This
allows me to modify reports and queries at home and take
to the church using CW-RW discs. This has worked well
for about two years. Now after making several new
reports the church computer will not recognize =Trim(xxx)
or =Format(xxxx. I have checked for viruses on all discs
and both computers. I have uninstalled and re-installed
Office 2000 on both computers. The church machine will
recognize these functions when I load a backup made from
the church computer. the home computer works fine.
This defies logic! Any help would be appreciated.

It only defies logic until we figure out the login involved
;-)

Actually, what you're describing sounds a lot like a
references problem. Various causes oculd be:
Their libraries are in different directories
They have a different version of a library
You added a library they don't have

Note that one bad refence can make all of them unavailable.

referenced. Maybe I should not be using the Internet
