Function Keys Don't Work

I did a clean install of XP Pro and now the function keys
do not work on my Sony Vaio R505GL. I installed the
HKSERV program that drives them, but when executed it
doesn't run. No error messages, just doesn't appear in
the processes of task manager and the keys don't work.
Sony can't help. Help!

You also need the service Terminal Services (AIRC!) set to Automatic for
communication of the program with the computer. HKServe should run at
startup also.
