Fulltime Vista?

Is anyone brave enough to be running Vista as their main OS yet? I'm not
quite there yet, 5308 is so very close to being useable full time, it just
needs a couple of little performance/stability fixes and I'll move over
(hopefully April CTP?).

I'm at full time right now, however I've lost the ability to have sound and
to view my TV Tuner Card. Minor annoyances, and I'm submitting all these
cases to Microsoft.

Yep, and its working very well.

I am doing the following tasks :

using Windows Mail

developing with vs2005
using WinFX (WCP and WPF)
writing a smart client app with the above

Using office 12 beta 1

Office is the least stable, but that BETA on BETA so I would expect this, I
don't write many docs so its not an issue.

It runs fast enough, but I have got a meaty lappy which was bought just to
install vista on.

No way :) I may have hardware that's too old (I'm running Vista on my older
system), but some features don't work twice in a session (such as opening
Windows Explorer), and unless I'm having memory problems (not my computer's
memory!) some regional settings don't appear to stick.

Yes indeedy.

I don't seem to be having any major performance nags (although I know from
experience there's always ways to improve) but there's little things which
need cleaning up, as there ever are with beta software. It is however a LOT
better than the December CTP which refused to install at all. =P

I am , and Tablet PC no less. It is performing like a champ with the
exception of my Cisco VPN client ...
Still no worky!!

I'm dual booting so able to run it but too many incidence's of restarting
Explorer and not enough progs I use regularly can be installed
successfully.

I have lost sound as well I have an HP m370n, its weird because my sound
worked fine in 5270 but the drivers wont install on 5308 for some reason
although it does show it has drivers for my sound card...

Using it for a few days as my main OS, but installed in dual boot,
don't know yet if I'll have to return to XP SP2.
All the progs are not installed yet, and it's much slower than XP, but
I want to give it a good try
As you say, it needs a couple of improvements, and I can't wait for
April CTP

I've got 3 computers ranging from 2, 4 and 5 on the Windows System
Performance Rating and so far - overall it's running OK. However I still
wouldn't use it full time on my laptop (partly because I can't get Glass on
it) but because the performance issues are still there.

Exactly the same for me on my laptop, sound worked ok on 5270, broken on
5308. Shows as working fine, just no sound. :(

I guess something got damaged since 5270, because the last time I got
Explorer issues since 5308 was 5112.

I must get 2-3 occurances in an hour long session, so it is looking
somewhat damaged.

The other reasons I can't run with it permanently are:

- Lack of file sync for WM5.0 Mobile devices
- Lack of being able to use progs I am used to using like; AcDSee, SQLYog,
AVG (or any) AV system, etc - to name but a few :(
- No support for the BlackGold DVB-T card

On the AV aspect I've tried emailling most vendors, no reply yet, so I
tried the OneCare Beta and even that refuses to be allowed for Vista.

Nope - not enough device drivers (video and audio) are available to support
either my hardware or application software. A platform is only useful once
things are built on it. Vista for me is just a pretty platform and nothing
more so far.

Can we get a listing of what "Soundcards" you folks have?

I have a Dell Dimension 9100 which uses the following soundcard chipset :
SIGMATEL STAC 92XX C-Major HD Audio
