I'm looking for a Windows program that monitors active connections,
and displays full URL for current downloads. Internet Explorer, when
is DL-ing a file, only displays "Saving: file.ext from
www.something.com". The full URL is not available. I want it because I
want to use a DL manager also on hidden links (like the ones behind
forms).

An ideea? Anyone?

Thnx.

there's also an option (in "internet options"), I got a german
system, but you must uncheck something like "show URLs in short
form"...

If you need another browser, personally I prefer Mozilla ;-)

What do you want. Type in any URL by hand? No good.
Almost every dl manager works with IE.

And links behind forms will not show in any browser.
It's quite difficult to differ between a real dynamic
server content, produced based on the data submitted by
this form and some misused form buttons, where the
server returns also just static content (maybe even a
download).

As other said, get a real downloadmanager.

A long time ago, I tried GetSmart: it had an "act as proxy" option,
allowing it to catch the URL of any link, even behind a form (unless
the data was streaming from a database). GetSmart acted like a
in-between device, and the browser used it as proxy. The idea was
genial, however no other DL manager used it. The problem is: GetSmart
is discontinued. It lays down on sourceforge, un-updated for 3 years
or so.

The idea is, when a DL begins, the DL program MUST know the URL (from
headers or somewhere else). I was looking for a program that could
monitor the active connections, and show active URLs.
