Full System Recover...Again

After hours of talks with HP technicians I ended up having to wpe my hard drive and do a full system recovery about 1 month ago. Everything was going fine (after I recovered from the heartache of losing all of my data) but now after installing and uninstalling Grokster and a few other programs and being again loaded up with spy & adware my computer is acting up again. The taskbar won't work at times, the load up is slow, programs are crashing inexplicably.

What I want to know is, is there any danger to doing another Full System Recover. I'd rather do it now while it won't hurt nearly as much as it did last time. I know this may sound drastic but I really just want to create recovery CD's, wipe the hard drive and start anew. Can I do this? Is it bad to do it again so soon or is it harmless as long as I know I'm going to lose some things and have to reinstall others.

It won't hurt anything to do that at anytime. It's just that it's a pain in
the rear to do. You may not have to though if it's just spyware/adware you
are trying to remove. Download and run both AdAware and Spybot S & D to see
if that solves your problem.

Adaware should help if nothing else just go to a restore point from a week
or so ago!
Downloading "free" music opens you up to lots of spyware. Every time you
click on a song that doesn't play you probably installed some virus trojan
or spyware on your computer!

Also make sure you have antivirus software installed on your computer!

I work on computers for a living the amount of spyware trojans and dialers
people get installed on their computers is amazing. I even had a user with
a keystroke logger to record his passwords and an ftp program to transmit
the files to a remote site. It took me 6 hours to get his computer back
working! One of the viruses he had stopped AV software from running. I had
to pull the hard drive and put it in another computer to get rid of the
viruses!
