If this has been covered a million and one tmes, sorry. I can't seem to find
anything specific to what I'm experiencing.

When I use full screen mode with IE 6.0 and click on a favorite link, or
maybe a search link (after the search), most of the time IE acts like it is
going to the link but then it does nothing...just stays on the present
website. Anyone else experiencing this, and if so did you get a fix and
would you mind passing it on to little ole me :)

Thanks

Lonnie

From http://www.fjsmjs.com/OE/nolinks.htm

Open Windows Explorer.
Go to Tools | Folder Options | File Types.
Scroll down to URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol and select it.
Click Edit or Advanced, depending on your Windows version.
Select 'open'.
Click Edit.

"Application used to perform this action" should read:

"C:\PROGRAM FILES\INTERNET EXPLORER\iexplore.exe" -nohome
(Check the path to iexplore.exe to make sure that is correct and use the
double quotes.)

DDE should be checked and in the boxes below it you should have:

#1:
"%1",,-1,0,,,,
#2
IExplore
#3 (blank)

#4
WWW_OpenURL

URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol with Privacy should be the same.

Sometimes it is necessary to uncheck Use DDE.

If that doesn't fix it, go to Start | Run and type

regsvr32 urlmon.dll

Thanks for the response/info. I followed what you mentioned and scrolled
down only to find nothing of the sort within the file types. I found 1
occurrence of URL and it was followed by Internet Explorer. That is it.
Please advise.

Thanks

Thanks for the info. I found it, but everything is set up according to the
info already. I even unchecked DDE as it is suggested. Nothing. Then I ran
regsvr32 urlmon.dll as suggested, the message afterward was that it was
successfull, but it is still stalling in fullscreen mode.

I did however notice something that I didn't notice before. It seems like
it is happening only on certain https sites, and again, only when it is in
fullscreen mode with the favorites sliding in from the left. If it is in
regular mode with the favorites to the left and it is stationary, then all is
fine. Wierd.

Please advise.

I don't know. I almost never use Full Screen mode.

I think most Microsoft sites are nearly unusable without pressing F11
to spread stuff out and make all those navigation bars less conspicuous.

Why do you think so many users are seemingly so reluctant
to disclose this *essential* information?

Perhaps they don't know it? <EG>
How many OS support Win-Break?
