Hi all
I'm sure this has been asked a thousand times but I can't find a viable
solution. Need to run a full screen dos box within XP. Have tried full
screen settings in pif file, have tried to use AltEnter but all I get are
partial screens. Is there some setting within the registry that affects
this. I've tried to search thru KB articles but nothing seems to help.

I'm not sure what you mean by DOS box. XP does not have DOS. It is not
written on or over DOS and therefore does not have it. If you want to change
the look of your command line interface window then simply right click on the
top line and then click properties and you can change everything from font
size to background colour. The shortes route other than a desktop shortcut to
the command line is go>start\run and type in cmd and click ok or hit enter on
your keyboard. {]:~) If this isn't what you mean then post back. The max
sizes for me are width 125 and height 48.

I just tried the tip mentioned before yours but with similar results. When I
say partial screen, the program comes up, blanking the full screen. The
program then runs in the top half of the screen while the bottom half is
simply blank. There is another machine at a client site that is running XP
and I have created a shortcut to the same program and the full screen is
used. If I run a CMD window and then press AltEnter I also get a full
command prompt screen.
Thanks for helping here

What's a partial screen. Give full details.

It sounds like your screen is in 43 or 50 line mode but your program is in 25. Check in properties that your screen height is 25 or set the program to 43 (egs) or 50 (vga) mode.

I want to know

How the application I.E. lotus123 & NC can run on WINDOWXP
what setting should be made

It may not run at all. To find out, open the Help and Support Center and
search for the article entitled: Getting older programs to run on Windows
XP.
