Hi.

I'm trying to find some blank full face dual layer DVDs but having no
luck. Is it a simple case of these not being manufactured?

I've tried a couple of UK blank DVD suppliers and they don't stock any.

Any pointers appreciated.

Thanks,

Al.

Verbatim DataLifePlus 8.5GB 6x DL +R #95123

These are the ONLY DL inkjet printable I know of that are being
manufactured.

What's wrong with buying CD label kit? If you still want to print
direct to DVD, just slap the blank label on any DVD & print the DVD.

Actually I prefer printing to CD labels as opposed to direct to disc
printing. Label generally have drying time of a few seconds to a
minute depending on type (glossy or what) and amount of ink used.
Direct to CD and DVD printing have drying time in several minutes to
hours and they are easily smudged if you try to handle it too soon.

Just my $0.02

Disc labels are more prone to issues with pealing, bubbling, and can
damage data. In fact my memorex label kit says "use the hub labels
only as full face labels may result in the loss of data". DVDs are
more prone to issues with wobble from being off center than CDs.

Thanks for the info on the printable discs.

My own opionion on labels is they tend to cause wobble on some discs -
it's probably down to me on the way I do it. However, it's that sort of
hassle and time I want to avoid, that's why I don't use labels!

Regards,

Al.
