Ftp upload very slow

When trying to upload from any 2000 machines to any ftp site the upload is
very slow, but downloads are good. Our machines were recently infected by
Welchia Worm and have been cleaned up
does anyone have any idea's what could be causing this

You're probably on ADSL. The "A" in ADSL stands for
"asymmetrical": fast download, slow upload.
