FTP time format

I have Windows XP is configured for 24hr time format, CMD command line
FTP shows time in 24hr format, other FTP applications show time in 24hr
format, but for some reason when FTPing IE6 shows file time in 12hr
AM/PM format.

Is there a way to configure IE6 to display 24hr time format when FTPing
into a site?

Can you tell where the odd time format originates?
Perhaps it is from the server you are connecting to?

The odd time format is being generated by IE, the FTP site returns
standard 24hr time, which IE is converting to 12hr am/pm format for
display. The same installation of IE presents 24hr time stamps on files
when HTTPing into the same site.
