Hi

How feasible is using a win xp pro machine as an ftp server from remote
locations? Are there any security considerations? Anywhere I can find info
on how to setup ftp server and clients?

Ordinary FTP is inherently insecure. Transmitting plain text
usernames/passwords are never a bad idea.

You can look over this web page, however, if you wish to use the IIS FTP
server.
