ftp problem with ie 6.0

When I try to log on to our ftp server, I get error
messages 220 and 530. Apparently, I am not logging off
the server properly, and it thinks I am still logged on,
but it won't let me do anything. Help!

You probably have to contact the system administrator for the server to
close your connection. If the server is running correctly it is supposed to
close all inactive connections regularly but it may not be set to do that on
that server.
