FTP in IE 7.0

I set up an FTP shortcut in IE 6.0 that connected me to a UNIX box in order
to transfer files from UNIX to windows, the properties of the shortcut were
pretty straightforward:

ftp://password:username@serverIP. Upon execution a username and password box
appeared and I was able to enter the password and access the directory.

With IE 7.0 it seems like the user information is getting stripped away and
i am getting logged in as an anonymous user to the root of system with no
access to any other directory.

Anyone know how to fix this? I am runing Windows XP SP2 and running FTP in
the NON-PASV mode, (which is the default mode)

Thanks,

Try a few things...

Try it in passive.
Try creating a shortcut to it in your network places.
Try it from Windows Explorer (which seems to work best for me.)
