I have 2 computers; both have identical "internet options" settings, as well
as all other settings. Computer A downloads fine. Computer B gives me the
"cannot access site" page when attempting a download from an FTP site.
Spyware and viruses are clean. What am I missing?

Some additonal helpful information: Both computers using winxp pro sp1; all
current microsoft patches & fixes up to date (except sp2, chicken), as are
Norton defs.; IE6 is SP1; both connected to same router, modem, dsl service,
etc.
The site that just now refused was the Ad-Aware ver 1.06 update from
Downloads.com but others have done the same.

Probably a corrupt cache on the problem machine; create a new one as per the
instructions at the URL below:

Are you, by any chance, sharing the internet connection on the PC where the
problem occurs? If so, you might try temporarily deselecting the sharing. I
also had problems with Ad-Aware FTP (and other FTP sites) and this cured it.
Don't know why.

Hope it helps.
