FTP Client for W2KproSP4

FTP client not working properly.

winnt/system32/ftp.exe problems

I'm able to connect to a FTP server, but once I enter a
command it hangs. no response

It appears to be a local pc issue, FTP server works fine
on other PCs.

do you have a firewall?? that sounds like port 20 is blocked.

NO, no Firewall..... actually I'm able to connect

(login) but any commands I enter hangs the connection.
Now I can go to another PC on the same LAN and don't have
a problem. So, I believe it's internal to my w2Kpro PC.
I guess I'm looking for a fix on the MS FTP client. thanks

That's still typical of port 20 being blocked. Even if it's blocked
on your own system.

You might want to try a third-party FTP client. Such as WS_FTP. It's fee,
and works very well.
