I recently moved fsmo roles from one windows 2000 server, server A to
another, server B. Both were DC's before and after the move. I then
upgraded server B to windows 2003, which is where I began to notice
problems. Sometimes I get that the domain controller for the network
can not be found, only from the windows servers, never a client. Also
it says I do not have permission form server B to update group
policies, but I can from the 2000 servers or my XP machine. Now today
I had a user locked out due to incorrect passwords and I had to reset
the password both on the 2003 server and the 2000. I see no errors in
The event log for FRS, or DS. What is going on with the servers and
what do I need to do to fix it.
When E-mailing me, remove the Anti-Spam Device (notme_) from my reply address
