If you were buying a laptop and had a choice of a FSB of 667 or 800,
and the cost difference was $25. which would you choose?

I would go for the 800 FSB

Personally, I would be hard-pressed to turn down any speed improvement
for an increment of only $25.

I agree with you but I didn't know where the data being transferred
was coming from or going to.

My thought was that if it came from a drive, the drive may not be
processing the info fast enough to max out the capability of the bus.

Obviously I don't know the inner workings of the computer.

The FSB is the speed going from the RAM to the CPU. The drives are tied
to the Southbridge and PCI bus, which is 33 MHz.

I would go for the 800MHz FSB. It may not offer a huge speed increase,
but it will be an increase nonetheless.

Not very often that everyone that replies to a post agrees with
everyone else, but this was one of those times, so I ordered the 800
BUS
