FSB etc for new chip

Hi

Getting a Xp2400 this week, 266

Never added a better chip, mobo is a Jetway 867AS with a Duron700

What would i use below?

If its not this simple can you tell me why, its about the only thing never
done before.

133x15=1995mhz. Looks like your multipliers don't go high enough. You would
also need the board to support a FSB of 133. I would get a new board.

If it's like the V266b boards take ALL the jumpers off and make sure
the jumper that sets it to 133 is ON.
I got fooled by this on the V266b board.It has jumpers for the
multiplier but they have been superceded by a jumperless BIOS.
Check the manual carefully.

thanks, i have a pdf manual where i took that info from, found a newer bios
so would update that first.

Found a few websites but my dyslexia is making too hard to understand

i think someone said a newer bios would do that
 
Found this below, also i think A09 is the latest.


867AS A06 Athlon(tm) XP 2600+ Up to 1.4GHz Up to 1.3GHz

Thanks Shep, i have said in the Win98 NG a few times my dyslexia is a pain,
i can 'read' the words but cant unstand paragraphs or learn what its trying
to tell me unless its in bullet form, and flashing a bios etc is something
i dont want to do by trial and error!

If you are unsure and get the correct flashing tool and bios.rom you
want to use I'll make you a bootable ISO which you can burn to a CD
and make it as easy as I can for you to flash.
