"Frying" sound in audio

This happened suddenly. Although it only happens a few times, still its a pain to hear it in the middle of watching a movie/listening to music. And when it does happen, it happens for several minutes, then its gone

I can't exactly isolate the problem. I tried switching speakers but the "frying" sound still occurs. I tried brushing my sound card to clean the dirt, but it still happens

Anyone who has an idea? I'm guessing it could only either of the 3: speakers, sound card or motherboard. However, I really need to "hit the nail on the head" so as not to waste time and effort

I would really appreciate any help

Until you can pin down WHEN it happens, you have only hunches to go on.
I would hazard a guess the "frying sound" is "electrical noise" being
picked up by the sound card and speaker system. Since it happens for
several minutes at a time, start looking for what is happening around
you that is different during those "minutes". microwave? furnace? etc.

I agree with Bob just wanted to add I had this problem with at tv, and a baby monitor being to close to my desk

Best Regards,
Dave
