Im running a host of anti-malware pgms and have recently
installed MSAS. The features, layout and explanations
are all quite straightforward and pleasing, there seems
like there's a lot to like here.

One problem however, when doing a scan, the pgm simply
becomes unresponsive, it dosen't even respond to Task
Manager in trying to shut it down so I find I'm yanking
the power cord on this new $2800 Dell desktop.

Yes at every "click" the impass generates a "report" to
MS, this has been done probably 30 times.

Any suggestions other that get rid of it until a more
robust release?
 
Which build of MSAS are you running? .501 or .509? Also you seem to have a
big spyware issue. I recommend starting you PC in safe mode and do a full
system scan. On the Scan Page, choose Scan Options > Full System Scan.
