frosen outlook 2002

I sent an email with 26Mb of jpeg files to an
individual. Their provider bounced the mesage back to me
with the title "Mailer - DAEM ..... Failure notice 26Mb.
When I launched outlook and clicked on received mail the
above mesaage came and locked up outlook. When I open
outlook, it opens but does not respond.

Sounds like it's not locked up, it's trying to download

the returned message and it's 26 mb, that'll take
awhile. Try just opening it and waiting.
