Hi there;

someone here please help me out with a MS Office 2003
(beta 2) issue I have run into.

I have installed on a MS XP-SP1 machine MS Office 2003
(beta 2) with FrontPage 2003 and Publisher 2003.
Immediately after that I installed the upgrade to build
11.5329.5329. All Office apps open fine, except for
FrontPage 2003, which comes up with the following error
message:

FRONTPG.EXE - ENTRY POINT NOT FOUND
The procedure entry point ?
UDC_LOCATION_STS_URL@CUDCDOC@DDW@@2QBGB could not be
loaded in the dynamic link library fpcutl.dll

I have no idea what that means; but my guess is that
FrontPage 2003 is either corrupted or did not install
(properly or otherwise). The dll file (fpcutl.dll) is
there as is the actual exe (as referenced by the
FrontPage 2003 shortcut), but I can not find (and don't
know where to look for) the 369MB folder that is
indicated in Add/Remove Programs for FrontPage 2003.

At this point I have not tried to re-install FrontPage
2003 because I don't know if I then need to re-apply the
Office upgrades, which are rather major and take
considerable time.

What I did try, is go through the exact same Office 2003
installation procedure on a MS W2K SP4 computer, which
resulted in the exact same error message.

There do not appear to be any other problems with the
Office 2003 installation on either machine.

Is this perhaps a bug in MS Office 2003 &/or its upgrade,
or is it a FrontPage 2003 issue? I realise that this is a
beta version (albeit pretty close to be a RC), but for
FrontPage 2003 to completely fail I would expect a rather
major problem either in the installation or in the build
upgrade or somewhere else. And where is this 369MB folder
supposed to be on the hard drive?

All help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Are you installing BETA 2 from the CD's for all MSO 11 products (including FP),
and Then downloading and installing the BETA 2 TR and installing them?
