Frontpage2000-Lost ability to use BackGround pic. in cell

I'm using FP2000 with XP Home. When I installed FP it was
working great. Then for some rteason I lost the ability
in Cell Propeties to use "Background - Use background
picture" and the ability in the area of "Borders - Color,
light Border Dark Border" they are in the most part GRAY
out. How can I fix it?
