When I put a photo in as a page background, it repeats part of the graphic to
the right when I view it using Mozilla on the internet. How do I size the
photo to fit. Also how do I resize the masthead to fit the page?

How do I size the photo to fit.

You don't. You use CSS to stop the background image from repeating.
Depending on your version of FP, this may be easier/harder to find. The
best way might be to just edit the body tag as follows -

<body style="background-repeat:no-repeat;"....
