Frontpage won't accept my user id and password

I cannot get Frontpage to accept my user is and password. I installed front
page extensions on the server that hosts my domain.

If I use FTP, I can get in using the very same user id and password. My ISP
provider insists there is a problem with FrontPage.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the extensions on the server to try to get it
to work. I am fairly new at publishing web sites, and I have had this problem
before. I really want to use FrontPage and not ftp so that my forms and other
add ins will work properly. Any advice is welcome. Thank you.

Have you host check to be sure that your login info is the same for both FTP and FP.

Yes. I did check that. I did finally get it to work. The uninstall/reinstall
must have done the trick. I did read on another forum that if you make an
attempt to use FTP after installing Front page extensions that it will blow
out the extensions and you need to reinstall. Also this happened before with
my host. I think that the first install doesn't always get it right. The last
time I couldn't figure out the issue and I changed my password at least 10
times and kept uninstalling and reinstalling so I never figured out what
fixed it. Thanks for responding so quickly!

I've been having nearly the same problem, but with a different twist. Using
one of my two computers all works well, publishing either with ftp or FP
extensions.

On another computer, publishing with FP extensions suddenly stopped working.
FTP publishing works fine. Same username/password in all cases.

Any clues?

Thanks,
Steve
