To see the frontpage web editing icon with Internet Explorer 7, do i need all
of Frontpage installed on my computer, or just some EI7 plugin or addon?

You need Frontpage to edit pages in Frontpage.....of course, that's obvious
isn't it?

But that "edit with" icon seems to listt *any* application that can open
HTML such as Word, Excel, Notepad.

I have IE 6, and the "edit with " lists Excel, Frontpage, Notepad, Word and
Publisher on my system.

Seems finicky about what it will list in that drop down though...like DW or
EWD don't. I've been trying for a while...no go.

Yes i have FP installed. But there is no icon in IE7. How did you make the
web edit icon appear in IE6?

Thanks everyone for their responses.

I've found that also I had Visual Studio Web Developer 2005 Express on here
a day or two back and IE didn't list that, and I had Adobe Golive (trial) a
few weeks back as well, it didn't list that either (not that I remember it
being there anyway - i don't use that "Edit With" much if at all).
..

I find it useful to quickly open an online web to see how something was
done - that's all I ever use it for. I woulda thought EWD would have
appeared on the list. But, I've had no luck manually getting anything up
there by any means suggested so far. A reg. hack maybe? Dunno.

The steps in IE7 are Tools>Toolbars>Customize>Add the Edit icon from the
Available icons to the Current toolbar.
