Frontpage problem displaying folders

I've used FP for years, most recently to manage 5-6 domains on the same
server. About two months ago, on SOME of the websites, I can no longer see
folders during certain FP functions. For instance, when I open the web, I
see the normal directory listing on the left. If I'm making a page, and
want to create a hyperlink, the dialog box opens, but it does not display
the folders and files in the web. It will show file names of pages already
open. The same problem occurs with other dialog boxes as well (e.g. insert
picture, etc.) I'm not aware of anything that changed in my settings or
the host server. (They've already checked and also reloaded the
extensions.) To make things more confusing, this does not happen across
all of my webs on this server; only some (and of course the one's I
maintain the most.)

Does anyone have any thoughts?

Thanks,
Paul

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately, it didn't solve the problem. Still
can't see folders and files when doing certain functions that display them
through a dialog box.

Any other thoughts?
Thanks.

What folder(s) are you not seeing and which dialog boxes?

I have the problem when trying to create a hyperlink, or when trying
to do a "save as" operation. In the case of creating a hyperlink, the
dialog box only shows file names that are already open in page view.
Makes it hard if I'm trying to link to a file in a different folder.
In the case of "save as," the dialog box does not show any folders.
It forces me to save everything to the root directory, and them move
the file to the appropriate folder in a second step.

The Folder List on the left shows all folders and files, so I know FP
can see them.

There might be other dialog boxes with this problem, but these are the
two I most routinely use that have the problem.

Thanks.

Do you have a web / site open first (File Menu | Open Web / Site) before you start working with your
web content?

Yes - I do all my web work directly on the server - I can get to all
the appropriate folders and files - just can't see them via the common
dialog boxes - BTW, I already tried re-installing FP - no change.

Can you provide a sample of the folder names that you are not able to see?

I have about 90 folders, most with simple single-word names. Some are
two words joined w/ an underscore. Examples include:
Accessories
assets
App_Data
gifts
images
Sale_Docs

I can see and work with all of them in the normal folder view. It's
only in the dialog boxes that I lose all of them.

Thanks,

Ok, these are examples of the folder names that you can not see in a dialog box, correct?

Are any of these folder subwebs / subsites?

Yes, that's correct, they're all examples of folder names in my web.
None of them are sub-webs or sub-sites.

I can not think of any other reason for you not to be able to see these folders. You might want to
call MS Product Support.
