frontpage photo gallery

When recently adding photos to my frontpage photo gallery, it freezes when it
is trying to create the thumbnail. I can escape but the new photo is not
added. Suggestions? Already did detect and repair
 
Try JAlbum instead of the Fp photo album (which is full of bugs).

Since I have already invested a fair amount over time to set this up and it
has been running for quite some time, I'm trying to figure out why it has now
stopped working.
