Johnny

I have frontpage on my laptop. I have created a website and published
it to it's new home. I also have frontpage installed on my desktop.
I cannot get the desktop to update the site on the net. It looks like
everything worked. The website on my desktop says authored by one
person (me) and the website on the laptop says authored by me on my
laptop.

What is going on?

Does your server have the server extensions installed? Have you tried
opening the site live from your desktop - File > Open > Web> [ type the URL
to your site, enter your log on details]....etc and changing the site that
way from your desktop PC

Otherwise, are you opening the local web (File > Open > Web etc) and then
File > Publish, enter the remote site properties i.e. your site URL, log on
with your details.

I think Frontpage identifies "two different people" since you're using two
different machines to publish the same site, and it tracks the changes and
authors. I don't see how that relates to your "it doesn't work" query. If
you go through the proper publishing procedure I see no problems.

Are you getting any error messages, or is it just a case of the page appears
not to have been updated? Try clearing your web cache, frontpage temp
files, your browser temp files etc and press F5 (refresh) on your browser.

Thanks for the reply Andrew

I can open the website local in my browser and it looks just like the
way I fixed it.

When I publish, it goes though with no errors.

The last test I did was from a new hard drive, fresh install of
frontpage. Same thing pages are not updated on the website.
