We operate a moderately large web site at www.folkart.com; currently we've
been using FrontPage 2002.
We are trying to make extensive use of the Insert Web Component, Included
Content, Page. Frequently when we attempt to publish a change we get the
following message.
"The server sent a response which FrontPage could not parse. If you are
trying to connect to a FrontPage server, check with the server's
administrator to make sure the FrontPage server extensions are installed
properly. OK"
Our server is a UNIX server with the FrontPage Extentions. We've been
repeatedly assured by our ISP Provider (Verio) that the FrontPage server
extensions are installed properly.
We get the same message when we go directly to the web site and select:
Tools, Recalculate Hyperlinks.
Please share you comments and suggestions regarding our options at this
point. Obviously if we can't reliably update the web pages including this
feature (Included Content, Page), then the value of this feature is
significantly dimenished.
We just received our copy of FrontPage 2003. Will this error continue with
the lastest version of FrontPage or has Microsoft dealt with the problem?
Thanks, Cecil
